What is hazelnut crème? Hazelnut crème, or hazelnut cream, is a blend of chocolate and hazelnuts (unlike praliné, which is made from sugar and nuts). Similar to a gianduja, but with a lower chocolate content, our hazelnut creme comes in a 23% nut pipeable form from Kessko, or as a 41% firm, cuttable block from Callebaut. Ready to use, simply slice and enrobe in high quality chocolate, or aerate and fill your chocolate shells for a simple but sumptuous treat. It can also be used to flavour creams and pastry fillings such as bavarois, and to create delicious layers in a chocolate hazelnut cake or dessert.
